You have some what different views politically to myself. However I am willing to agree to disagree with you. For example; a generation or so ago, I would have sat quite comfortably in the "left" wing of the Liberal Party. However these days my political allegiance lies with the Left of the Labor Party or the Greens, that is partly a response to the sheer arse kissing of Conservative Christians both parties do alas. Honestly as I see it, there is no need to do this in a country where Atheists outnumber conservative Christians.
As I see, there are members of both the parliamentary Liberal and National parties, who are fairly decent enough in my view. In fairly decent I mean, they support rational social policies and don't deny global warming is a reality. However the both the Liberal and National parties have seen religious social conservatives become increasingly more powerful and that worries me.
