I began to smell an exceedingly large and dead ratus ratus when I read (in 'TIME" from memory, over 20 years ago):
The revered guru habitually produced objects from thin air, apparently not an uncommon skill amongst India's living saints.
By pure serendipity, wealthy devotees received things such as gold watches and bracelets,whilst poor devotees invariably received flowers.
