My brother (real life brother, not Rob) loves to make all his pictures black and white before posting them on fb or instagram. He says it gives the pictures character. The original picture had color, but he edits it to give it boom, to give it character.
People like to make things black and white a lot in life situations. Sometimes they do it because it makes them feel radical. I understand that it's hard not to do it when it comes to our friends, but it doesn't make it right. A person doesn't have to be entirely right, or entirely wrong. A person doesn't have to be perfect or flawless. The real world has many colors even when we edit them out. I don't doubt that she's nice for the most part, or likeable in some ways, but the girl has a controversial morality, pride in defending it, but lacks the thick skin needed to back it up. She can be your friend and still be wrong. I'm a liberal woman in a conservative town. I'm loud about my views and expect backlash. I take it, stay standing, repeat. I'm atheist in a mostly Catholic town. I'm not closeted. Boom. I can handle rejection. Sometimes it hurts. I won't lie. Oh well. You know what I don't do? Go to church and expect applause. Cool if you're catholic and come here to debate. I can respect your energy to do it. Atheist, Catholic, or Mormon, however, if you plan on being loud about touchy subjects, own up to it. Nice or not, you might be wrong.
