Exactly. Evolution isn't a chain with a monkey at one end and a human at the other. The only people who use the "missing link" strawman are creationists trying to disprove evolution. They actually believe that until we produce a half-man, half-monkey skeleton, then there can be no proof of the missing link. And even if we did produce some kind of half-man, half-monkey skeleton, they'd claim that it was a forgery.
