If you discovered personally acceptable truth (whatever that may be for you) that the Christian God revealed in the bible was authentic, would you choose to serve and worship him? If yes, why? If no, feel free to elaborate as to why as well.
I observe there are many former Christians and very knowledgable people here on the content of the bible, I look forward to hearing your responses.
Again, I really do hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
I'm gonna take a different slant. Maybe I need you to define "acceptable truth".
I do find that there are "acceptable truth"s in the bible. Examples, don't lie, don't kill, don't steal, be excellent to each other (sorry-Bill and Ted)..................
But these are truths "revealed" (more accurately is "written about") by man, not a god. All gods are a fantasy created by man. The bible is the fantasy story written by man about a particular god. I not going to worship a fantasy.
I find acceptable truths in the Silmarillion but I'm not going to worship Eru Ilúvatar.
