If Christianity, were revealed to me as the TRUTH, I'd be a bit saddened to realize that I was pawn in an ancient pissing contest/power struggle. It's one that I'd just as soon not be involved in, as it seems that gathering numbers and obedience appears to be the primary focus and objective of your god, and depressingly little else; Not exactly inspiring, IMO.
Unfortunately, your God's apparent fear and insecurity wouldn't allow for the option of being uninvolved, so I suppose I probably would give serious consideration to "getting in line" in order to avoid being subjected to torment brutal and extensive beyond imagination.
However, if I were confident that the torment of Hell was finite, I imagine I'd be quite tempted to take my chances there in hopes of just being done with everything at some point.
