Similar to the popular consequence of not running around with scissors...exception being an eternal component has been added into the mix.
So, you'd do what it says in order to be rewarded/not punished. That's pretty much how religion operates, yeah. It's why I'm not interested.
It's odd you compare God to some sort of hazard. But you assume it will keep its word when it has no reason to.
