Some people believe God made everything in present form several thousand years ago. Some think the universe is 14 billion years old but we weren't made till several thousand years ago. Some thing we were made 14 billion years ago, God made life and let it flourish itself several billion years ago. Some believe God made the universe but let everything play out.
The vague nature of scripture obviously shows you can't make a solid decision. Would you feel better if he said he didn't care how God made the universe?
This man obviously doesn't know anything about the Big bang, radiometric dating, abiogenesis, evolution etc. However what if he doesn't accept young earth creation? Are you entitled to support something you're lacking information on? I was always taught to study something before you choose to support it. We know evolution is a well supported theory, but he doesn't know that.
When I was in highschool I didn't know what created us, was I being stupid?
