I am also perfectly able to ignore my sexual drives, as well as a certain range of my feelings. This is not something I do on a regular basis, nor something that affects my behaviour in any significant way. It's just a mental skill that is very useful. People who don't have will never understand it.
And I can see how that's a useful 'skill', but that's not being asexual.
