Still, all ideologies change the way you perceive reality. And not all ideologies are bad. You'll never find someone who associates completely with a certain ideology, there are always going to be exceptions. It's just easier to say you agree with an ideology if you mostly do. And I think you'll agree ideologies can have good parts as well as bad parts, that doesn't mean we should group the good with the bad and call it a day.
Good point, I just find it hard to associate with any ideology because its just asking people to stereotype you and strawman any argument you have. If i were to identify as liberal most people would think I supported clinton over trump, stuff like that. Though I do think all ideologies are bad because as you said, they change the way you perceive reality. You should try avoiding any sort of change in the way you perceive reality because your perception is your reality, and if your reality is different than, i guess, reality? That means you have an inherent bias towards some things that can be very difficult to change.
