Actually, I have, when I had A small Roofing business. I used to hire a lot of guys like that. As long as they showed up for work, (sober), could read a tape measure, help carry shingles up a ladder, and knew how to use a nail gun, I had no problem with them. I would hire them by the job, anywhere from one to three days per, at $100 a day.
Fair enough. As a retail manager, I would and did hire some folks like that, but for positions where they weren't dealing with the public, because in that line of work, presentation is important.
