In other words, I subscribe to the Bill & Ted philosophy: Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes!
That is a great philosophy - but my point is, that there is no imperative for anyone to adopt it in the Atheistic view of the world.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
