If there is economic inequality today, then get a job, but to get a job, you need an education, and to get an education, you want to have the desire to succeed. If you don't take that opportunity, then it is not the states fault, it is your families fault for not pushing you to do better instead of playing truant or whatever.
You act like education is free, at my wife's university tuition is currently $30,000 a semester.
Believe it or not, that $30,000 per semester is the same for everyone regardless of race, sexual preference, religious affiliation etc. That doesn't prove a thing. It is up to the parents to provide a stable background for the child to grow up in. It is the same for everyone. I grew up in a very rough part of Manchester until I was 7 years of age, until my parents had the bright idea of moving to a quiet town (in fact, it is so quiet that on the avenue, there were 40 semi-detached houses with loads of cars and you could hear a fly such as the quietness of the area. And you know what, it did me some good, to not mix with the bad crowd make some new friends. If you want a new life, it can be done, it just means hard work that is all. It is not easy huggy, by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want it, you will do your level best to make it to the top.
