I don't care what you think of the story and where it came from. It's all a fantasy to me.Does it matter that the entire cultural milieu (Judaism) it came from did not consider Satan to have rebelled against God but is working for God? Sure looks that way in Job, considered to be the oldest book of the 66 books in the bible.
My point is that I agree with the fictional character that others have talked about and I don't care whose ass it was pulled from. No need to get into deep discussion about it. I've made my point.
I don't take the cultural story at face value, in fact I err on the side it is probably mistranslated in several places (it is) and perhaps even screwed with deliberately. Even just knowing about the telephone game through time should tell you we are not dealing with original information and interpretation based on them will compound error.
You take the story at face value and disbelieve.
I don't take the story at face value and I don't need it to believe nor to have relationship with God. But it does in places add helpful details to a story far older than 2016 years.
I said it doesn't matter. The point is that I don't believe in worshiping overbearing tyrants who demand worship and I would favor rebellion. I don't care for your tangents about anything I consider fiction.
I don't believe you. Get over it.
