Ohio has a variety of weather patterns. It's sweltering hot in the Summer and bitter cold in the Winter. I did Roofing for 41 years until 3 years ago. Slate is some of the hottest roofing material I ever handled. Especially when doing slate work in the Summer. Rubber roofing can get just as hot too.
