And would you rather an existence where your every errant thoughts is instantly corrected/overruled by an inescapable omni-sentient God Mind?  Or do you prefer autonomy, privacy and the ability to grow/learn on your own?

Those who want God relevant to their lives, seek it. Those who don't, don't.
And some explorers aren't looking for any destination in-particular, some just enjoy exploring and discovering on their own for the shear thrill of the journey.

So...you want God, but not all of God, just enough to walk around with and talk too? Seems reasonable, how long have you sat still for?

I have wrestled with God on my own, and worked out my salvation with fear(awe) and respect. I rely on no one else, no appeal to consensus, nor to scriptural authority, nor any individual cultural mythos. I can stand on the waters I have collected, clarified, and then dug for on my own, finding my own well spring inside me. And I can turn those water's into the wine of joy.

I prefer the way I do, to the way you do not. That is all.
