Yes, I would have appreciated CL's sentiment if it wasn't for this. Not all marriages were meant to be, and people choose the wrong life partners sometimes. Also, people change. It's life. It's supposed to be that way sometimes. No institution should keep a person trapped in misery, least of all a romantic one.
I feel sorry for the people who might only stay in a marriage on religious principle and not much else. I'm not saying that's the case with CL at all, the idea just entered my mind, rather.
But religion or no, I appreciate the idea behind romantic fidelity anyway. I may not be very interested in ever getting married( too mainstream), but I I like that side of it, at least.
