I don't think it's necessarily wrong to point out that crime rates may be higher among black Americans, what's wrong is that people end the analysis there, and act like it's just an inherent biological thing.

Bold mine: Which they aren't, according to numerous studies on the subject. And yet incarceration rates are higher. So there's another reason behind that disproportion. Maybe it's poverty in general. I don't know how high the incarceration rate among poor white people is in relation to their crime rates. But it's a fact that you have a much bigger chance getting off with a slap to the wrist if you're well off. As has been shown in recent examples where that rich university jock got off with a few months for raping an unconscious girl behind a dumpster. Or another one assaulting his wife got off without any sentence at all.

For the rich and the famous things look entirely different and color certainly doesn't play a role animore. Best example OJ. With his team of first class lawyers he got off where a ghetto kid would have had the book thrown at him.
