By late 2019 enough baby boomers will have died so that there isn't even a majority of people wanting to leave the EU any more.
Next general election in the UK will be 7th May 2020. The government will be wanting to time the exit from the EU to maximise their chance of winning the next election. The problem is, no one will really know when this should be.
They need to trigger Article 50 before the next election. But they also can't wait too long after Brexit and before the general election to show that it was a mistake. But then maybe the more time after Brexit, the longer there is for the markets to stabilise.
I'm hoping to be watching from Germany by that time. Or in an independent Scotland.
