Shariah: Is it "barbaric"?

So basically they implement food rationing and give certain people in the community more rations than others. They implemented death sentences to punish thieves! Essentially 4-5 people wasting time in the mayor's office to think long and hard to come up with the right laws that can protect the community. And to be honest I think much of the laws they implemented was flawed. For example, many citizens just couldn't take it and they killed themselves. Others became cannibalistic...etc.

"Shariah law" however has the perfect balance of laws that will protect the community during both the rough times and the good times.

yeah right. If you type "peaceful Islam" or "barbaric Islam" into Google Images ... you get the same kind of images of the "perfect balance" of Islam.
