Another Circumcision thread

The benefits of a foreskin outweigh the benefits of a circumcised penis immensely much that a circumcision shouldn't even be considered (imo) in a first world country unless you're a consenting adult and you want to for some reason. Every cut is different, the lucky ones are left with decent amounts of outer and inner foreskin, the others are left with a numb piece of flesh hanging from the body and some have their scrotum skin pulled up to the shaft, which sucks. 

Luckily foreskin restoration is a thing, allegedly you can restore your foreskin (no ridgid band nor frenulum) by stretching the skin gently, it induces mitosis and grows. It's supposedly very similiar to an uncut foreskin but still not as good. Downside is, it can take several years, but some sensitivity, a shining glans and such comes back before you're finished. You can be skeptical of it, but I find reddit foreskin restoration subreddit to be quite helpful and good. Foregen, one of the biggest companies trying to restore a whole foreskin stands behind the idea that foreskin=more sensitivity.

In general, I don't understand why such an old ritual/tradition still lives on.

What are the benefits to foreskin exactly? Research shows the sex isn't any better. Botched circumcisions are incredibly rare in industrialized first-world countries.

How did they research that? "Hey, Jerry. Put on your foreskin and masturbate, take it off and try masturbating without it. How does it feel, Jerry? xd" What I'm saying is mostly based large amounts of self-reports from men. I started searching it up when I realised that masturbating feels like rubbing my palm. Seems like the vast majority of people with this problem are, waddaya know, circumcised. Regarding foreskin restoration, there's science behind it, although it's not really recognized. It's one of those things you should be skeptic about but from what I've gathered, and I'll also try it myself, it should work. Check out reddit/r/foreskin_restoration

 Anyway. I'll go through some things. A lack of gliding function makes stimulating the 'fine touch nerves' on your penis more difficult to stimulate and more friction based and that results in less sensitivity and depending on the severity of your circumcision, it can leave you with barely any sensitivity. The penis can't use pre-cum as a lubricant without a foreskin. Without a foreskin protecting your glans, the glans will encounter friction essentially 24/7, rubbing against your underwear etc, that makes it less sensitive because or and the glans keratinizes/callouses making the nerves on it hard and difficult to stimulate, needing more friction. Apparently there are some products you can use on your glans to peel the layers of keratin off (or w/e that is), but you don't want to do that, because it will be overly sensitive, rubbing against your underwear. This is what I've gathered.

Remember, it also depends on how much skin has been taken away. There's a foreskin index, for the restorers (nsfw pictures if you search it up) that tell how much foreskin you have when at ci-1 for example. The end goal for most is around ci-7 I think (an average foreskin). Pretty much all of em' report more sensitivity at ci-3 and above. I am below that. The only pleasure I get from masturbating is the orgasm. fun, amirite.
