I'm self-conscious like that.
I don't know what the typical uncut man does, because it's not like I am qualified to speak for them, which is why I did the eyeroll. But hygiene is not a good argument in favor of circumcision because, really, if one's genitals is so nasty that it needs a good wash before anything else, then cut/uncut the answer is to just give it a wash before having sex, especially if there's going to be oral sex involved.
I think most people shower in the morning and have sex in the evening/night. Which is why I said I can see why it's more likely for women to get UTI's when having sex with an uncut vs a cut. Of course, if they washed themselves shortly before sex, it would prevent that, but I doubt most men go into the bathroom real quick to "freshen up" before sex.
Maybe it's because they're clean enough down there, so they don't have to. But if it's really dirty it needs a wash, then I would hope that they would give it a wash first before having their partner go down on them or whatever. Nothing you're arguing about is really in favor of circumcision anyway, but just alerts to the importance of maintaining good hygiene.
And by the way, it's not like cut penises are not probably going to get rather dirty after just 12 hours of not being washed. Cut penises get sweaty as well.
