tbh, I find the stock plugins sufficient for me. I can't remember if I had to buy Sytrus or not, but I use it for 80% of my synth needs.
I have a friend who has the Komplete full set (the $1000), but I realized. . . just figuring out what you even HAVE would take weeks of hard work, and then how many are you every really going to use?
For me, the big bucks would be better spent on something like Kontakt with one of the big orchestra packs or something. But actually, when I was searching around to figure out what Massive is and why I don't have it, I did find Komplete Select, which looks really reasonable.
