I'm fascinated by culture. The little overseas travelling that I have done has shown me how different cultures are, and I enjoy exploring how humans were built over the years. I used to be something of a weltschmerz, wondering why people act the way they do. Now, I'm more of a curious observer (one of the many weights lifted off my shoulders when I became an atheist).

Japanese history is my hobby, although I have taught and enjoy just about all facets of the subject. I like teaching it, making students think and analyze. Hopefully giving them a taste of some of the less popular or well known histories that we white people tend to ignore.
