I generally shy away from religious conversations with the locals here, there is a preponderance of Baptists, Mormons (and worse, RLDSers) Evangelicals and Catholics about and it wouldn't end well.
I realized too late a friend of mine was possibly feeling me out about atheism, but even if he is, I'm still not eager to go there.
As for my gay circle, well, 12 Steppers presupposes agnosticism at the most, so I don't bring it up, and as for non 12 Stepper gay friends, JJ is very active in MCC and I give him a pass as that denomination rankles the almost all the rest of the christers no end, tee hee!
All of the twelve steppers around me know. Most seem afraid to talk to me about it.
