It started being okay once it got ahold of itself. First it's like "Alright, underwater sport?", then it's like "holy shit holding your breath for hours!?", then it's all "Omg, i've got a sword and just got asked if I know how to use it!", then "OMG HUGE.... WHAT TTHE FUCK IS THIS?!", then it was all "WHAT THAT FUCK?!" followed by a few more "W... FUCKING WHAT IS THIS GIBBERISH!" and then it's like "NOW THIS SPORT ON LAND!!!!?!?!!", and then "FUCKING KICK!?!", and then it was all "OMG WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING?!", and then it's like "FUCKING BOSS!!!!!??!?!?!!", and then it's all "IT'S ON MY SIDE?!", and then I think I got somewhere else before anything started to click together.
Not to mention the leveling system confused me to hell until I got things to put into it. 5 hours, and 30 minutes, of continuous WTFmode from the start of the game.
And although I started 'getting' the story after that, and lots is 'revealed' as you go through it... I still never liked Tidus or Yuna or Wakka at all. Lulu was okay, Auron was cool, Rikku is like me when I'm high on sugar so I can't hate her, and K....something was interesting by not being interesting.
... I might have left something out 0.o I doubt it though.
