Do people hate the actual belief in God, or just the religious organizations?

My environment was evangelical lutheran until age 13. That's when what I was being told by the religious stopped making sense. 

If you are equating santa claus to god, lets throw the tooth fairy and unicorns into the mix. To you are they all real?

and if you had no education then you might not have had the comprehensive skills to discern the way you did. right? you cant think of any scenario that would have kept your false belief? 

and no, im saying kids believe in santa, that doesnt make them different. not a great example. but believing in god doesnt make a person different. different ideas and beliefs yeah. 

i suppose im not quite sure what you mean when you say "they arent stupid, just different." people have contradictory beliefs all the time unrelated to god and religion. id call it stupid personally, but cheers to you for taking the high road.

I think god belief is silly, but hey, if it works for you, knock yourself out.  Just don't expect t me to take it seriously.

naturally. i dont believe in god, yet. i believe there are more intelligent beings. 

possibly near infinitely more intelligent. but i wont get ahead of myself
