Actually, yes it is. It is precisely what it is about. It is about adapting to an unknown environment. An environment to at needs to be sensed. Otherwise you might as well use a look up table.

What environment anyway. We're not in the jungle anymore , for the most part. We live in an artificial world as it is. We are surrounded by technology. What is the difference between me browsing the Internet and a machine doing the same, hypothetically speaking ? Do the senses and the mobility add anything to my strictly analytical powers?
