In that apparently magical universe, 2+2=5 in actuality in every way that 2+2=4 here without violating identity, and it isn't important to understand how this is so (or whether it makes sense to us) in order to answer the OP's question. In this hypothetical universe, 2 and 2 things put together equal 5 just as surely as they equal 4 here.
