Minimalist can be a dick. He's not comparable to someone who thinks we should all get AIDS, celebrates child abuse, and dismisses rape victims as liars. Not remotely comparable.

I think this is a bit of an exaggeration/misrepresentation.

It's fine, there is no need to try and correct perception. they work hard at keeping that narrative. It's precious to them, so why not let them have it? It's not really that important. When push comes to shove deep down they know the truth even if they will never admit it openly.
