Perhaps all of us 'straight' people have simply created mental barriers that prevent us from feeling certain things toward someone of the same sex, because we were taught that that was wrong growing up.
This may just be me, but I have to respectfully disagree.
I spent the first 7 years of my life in Thailand. Many there are homosexual/bisexual/transsexual ect.. probably not more than most other places, but in Thailand, they're not "looked down upon". It's more "normal". People just don't care how you dress or which gender(s) you feel attracted to...
My mother even has 2 sisters who are lesbians. One of them even dresses as a man, introduces herself as a man (using a male name), and has a girlfriend...
So I wouldn't say I grew up with a mental barrier at all. I think women are pretty, even beautiful, but I am not attracted to them, nor am I aroused/interested in lesbian pornography. I don't know what it is- I am just not interest.
That's just the way God made us - just kidding, lol.

I'm even a supporter of gay rights and gay adoption, but that's another story.
