Look, I'm not for calling anyone names, using racial slurs or sexist explitifs. But PC isn't an alternative to anything. It just sweeps the issues under the carpet by building the wall of nice, nice. The issue is as strong as ever, it just isn't out in the open. Maybe it's even worse, since it's allowed to ferment and fester while being covered up.
PC is window dressing in my opinion. It resolves nothing, since misogyny and racism are very much alive and kicking.
In the workplace , PC is not a cure but a protection. Who wants to deal with shitty ideas when you are simply trying to earn a living. As I said, anyone have a better idea?
