Welcome aboard, Thal.  My stepson did an internship at an engineering firm there, Trondheim perhaps or is that the town  their headquarters was located in?

I've never been but from my wife's account of taking a ferry cruise through the Lofton islands I think it would be great to see.

Yes, Trondheim would be the city. That's actually where I grew up. It's a nice place. Lofoten, however, is way nicer. It's a gorgeous landscape, and if you're lucky with the weather, it's absolutely amazing. Go in January/February for the northern lights, or midsummer for the midnight sun.
