To say that "gravity is the result of a meaningless, random chance occurrence" isn't a good observation. Science isn't in the business of making pronouncements. Rather, it is about investigating observed phenomenon and exploring testable hypotheses to delve into their causes. You can't observe or test "meaninglessness". Science is based on repeatable tests and observations. If gravity were thought to be a "random chance occurrence" there would be no point in studying it. But there is nothing iffy about it, it has been observed wherever tested. So I don't know where you get your information but the views you attribute to science are simply wrong.
