I have often wondered about this myself. Needless to say I think the odds of us being alone are nil. The real question is will we ever meet them?
To us the universe seems huge. But even a house with a small yard seems huge to a toddler. Would the universe really be so huge to a people that had eons to figure out to traverse its vastness?

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
