Ben Carson, being a surgeon, would at least have had the memorization power to, say, learn the salient facts about nuclear arms treaties...

Ben Carson believes the nearly solid Egyptian pyramids were graneries built by the Israelites.  I think that fact alone completely nullifies any implications his surgical expertise might have had on his probable ability to grasp how any written document might fit into a world that actually has realities in it.
