It strikes me that you aren't even sure what 'PC' is. Your only method of showing that it is a problem is to say it's a problem.
The reality is that 'PC' is just the current name for something that has been happening forever. Every generation used to be able to say shit that they feel they should still be able to say without someone saying it's fucked up. We used to call it 'a different time.' As society evolves, there will always be things that are no longer socially acceptable, and there will always be people who think that's wrong.
We just have social media now, so when someone says something that society, as a whole, has deemed no longer acceptable, the backlash can be more numerous. Newsflash: that's not going anywhere. It's always been there, it's always going to be there. It's not a new culture, it's just easier to see it because people post on social networks. Just like in the past, when you are famous or represent an entity like a company or organization, if you speak in public and say something people disagree with, people have their reaction. Now, Twitter exists, and the opportunities for speaking out are more numerous. Until people learn how to navigate this, they will have issues.
It's not hard. I have a Facebook and a Twitter and an Instagram. I have never said anything that could get me fired, nor would I. If I can figure out this dangerous PC world we live in, I think anyone can. Except maybe the Donald.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
