Thank you so much, everyone, for all the congratulations! I love all of you to pieces.[emoji173] Sorry I've been MIA; it's been so totally insane these last two weeks. I need like...4-6 extra arms just to get the basics accomplished, lol.
So, my water broke at 2am on the 1st. I started having contractions right away, and I knew it was going to be a fast labor. They were already 3-5 minutes apart in the car on the way to the birth center. I went from 2cm to 9cm dilated in THIRTY minutes. I almost didn't have time to get an epidural. I literally had to scream, "WHERE THE FUCK is this guy?!" at the top of my lungs to get the anesthesiologist in my room and working on me. Once the epidural kicked in I was GOLDEN. Started pushing, and Nicholas was here 45 minutes later!
Since then, everything has been a blur of sleep deprivation, snuggling, breast sucking, yelling at my toddler, being AMAZED by how awesome my toddler is, crying, passing out at weird times of the day, forgetting when the last time I brushed my was, bleeding...oh, the bleeding. And just...total joy and happiness. [emoji846] I am so incredibly lucky.
He is QUITE delicious-looking, but I'm really trying to get this pregnancy weight off, so I don't think it'd be wise to indulge at this time. [emoji41]
Thanks again guys! I should be around more frequently now that we are starting to establish the semblance of a routine. And thanks to Brewer for the PM nudge. [emoji8]
