I understand the importance of the knowledge of history. I don't understand the need for our particular society in particular to accept the wrongs they have done in the past. I don't even accept that my ansestors came from one unified society. My ansestors come from different societies and countries that pretty much fucked each other over. Russia as a country wasn't too friendly with Poland at the time. England doesn't have a very good history with Ireland or Spain.
So when you say our society and our wrong doings I don't know about what my ansestors did or what their societies did.
I accept that I'm born in England and for a while England was sailing around the world kicking the shit out of everyone like Russel Crowe and his tug boat. Now it seems to be America's turn.
