I've just lost all faith in human intelligence.
Now I have no doubt, mankind's fucked.

Funny, we have the ability of reason and the choice to either use it to become more than we are or not at all. Looks like we've already chosen which path to walk down. I guess all I can do is....slap my forehead and laugh.

I, however, see it as a good thing, because it affords my beliefs, or lack thereof, the same rights as any others. Theists too often interpret the first amendment as freedom of religion but not freedom from religion, and this way we have legal ground to stand on.
Sad how we needed to turn perfect sense into utter nonsense in order to archive that. Now nothing makes any sense. Non-stamp collecting just became a hobby!

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
