However, from my perspective this situation is quite similar to when a boxer drops down two or more weight brackets. A heavyweight dropping to fly-weight might seem like giving them a huge advantage but the sharp drop in weight kinda balances it out.
I was going to use that similarity of dropping weight in my last post but deleted it. Although I think a heavy weight dropping to fly weight might result in death in a lot of cases.
The situation is what it is. We won't know how well this person would have competed or if they even would have competed had they been born a girl.
What we have is someone who's born a man, gone through puberty and developed the bone structure and size of a man. They didn't perform with seemingly much recognition as a man against other men and then had some hormone treatment and competed against women and they did great and beat all their competition.
I don't know if that's technically fair or even what fair is, I know if I was the woman who got silver, bronze or the woman who came 4th I'd be annoyed with the situation though.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
