Merely wondering, as you, at one time, would be what I consider to be one of the worse enemies to infest our societal fabric, and have managed turned away from that path some time ago.
That is one thing I really struggled with. I had to go back and mourn that person. It took a long time to come to terms with, but (with some help), I have.
A friend of mine published my story in his newsletter and I got a comment from someone who was on the 'other side.' While people like the person I was at the time made a difficult time more difficult, and caused her more pain than her decision ever did, she was glad I had found my way out of that and could finally see the issue for what it was, not a religious issue, but a woman's rights issue. There is no way I can ever go back and undo what I did, but I feel that both of us found a bit of peace from our encounter with each other.
@BloodyHeretic...
For a long time it did, but I realized I was wasting more time being angry about that. Besides, those experiences are part of what made me the person I am today. There is no way to change the past, all I can do is take the good from it and go forward.
Religion is not the answer-it is the problem. Everything considered, we would be better off without it.~Baubles of Blasphemy~Edwin F. Kagin
