I wouldn't put it like that. I might find some individuals as being so violent they are worthy of containment and defending oneself from sure. But I don't think my entire species is mostly garbage. I certainly see lots of compassion in human history worldwide and even now. I don't have to like my species bad logic, but I do see my species as being worthy enough to question and challenge in hopes we can see ourselves as more the same than different.
There are certainly evil individuals but my species certainly isn't mostly bad.

I think the frightening statement is saying that most are good. Because right there, logic falls to explain the wars, the death, the torture, that ate humanity and left so many wondering.
If most are good, then why are there still atomic weapons? and so many different cults?
