Ok, gotcha now.
But Hitchens did use fancy words, like "ardent" and "contrarian", which is fine, if you are giving a speech at Oxford or Yale. This website isn't as formal.
I loved him, but the only book I could get through without a dictionary was "God Is Not Great", the rest of them were wordy and sounded more like he was trying to write a Shakespeare play.
