He didn't win.
He was appointed.
My evidence comes from the observations of this individual's line of actions:
1-He dropped a MOAB and fired cruise missiles. Think of the messages this action sent.
2-He presented the idea of racial segregation. Think of the messages this action sent.
3-He presented the dwelling into the police state even more with his public support for torture. This is beyond scary. This is beyond madness. Think of the messages this action sent.

He is a tool. He pushes the ideas of other people higher than him; people who never appear in front of cameras, they elected him.
He is pushing the most hideous scenario I and others feared so much; dropping of sever WMDs like the MOAB and that it might incline to using nukes -the u.s army already deployed silver bullets in the past), pushing forward organised torture, and racial segregation.
He pushes an agenda we heard about and originated in the 70s and the 80s.
He is a tool.
