Have scientists considered the possibility that the Higgs mechanism may be the reason nothing can travel faster than light? If mass is a body's resistance to acceleration and the Higgs boson adds mass, it makes sense that the faster an object travels the more it is exposed to the Higgs field and so slow down.
Alex told me scientists don't know why acceleration causes an object to gain mass. So If I'm correct here, do I win a Nobel in physics for my contribution? Or since you have the wherewithal to test this hypothesis and turn it into a theory, you'll get the Nobel and I'll get a Pulitzer for turning it into a novel.
We're a team.

The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
