The theory of relativity offers negligible additional information on top of newtonian physics in the case of helicopters because the relevant differences are proportional to v/c and often (v/c)^2 where v is the velocity of machine components and c the speed of light.
Helicopters invariably do come down eventually, that is not in conflict with the idea that the can in fact fly without being ripped apart.
