Ok, that's something I can respond to.
The force of gravity acting on a thing is proportional to the mass of the object. That's both a mathematical fact as well as easily observed: massive things are heavier. All the water has a lot of mass, and hence the force is huge. A helicopter has way less mass, so the gravitational force is less.
