Yes and no, but that "Yes and no" apply to all humans worldwide.

The followers of Islam CAN be blamed for any violence they case when using the holy books they use such as the Koran and Hadiths, but the same can be, AND SHOULD BE said of anyone of any religion.

But no, we should not vilify individuals on a planet of 7 billion. 

Just like a KKK member should be blamed if they murder a black person and use the bible to do it. Just like a Hindu should be blamed if they murder a non Hindu for killing a cow.

But that does not justify assuming the guilt of an individual before they have done anything wrong. You can attack claims and bad behaviors of individuals or sects, without blanket assumptions of guilt of others.
