Jesus was foretelling the very imminent end of the world. What good would earthly possessions serve? He wasn't railing against consumerism, he was telling people that going to work was pointless, because the end was nigh, the veil of tears would soon be lifted. How does this address my criticism of your arguments btw?
I contend that point 1, wishing for a thing as a measure of truth is absurd.
point 2, older=more truthful......you're obviously not irish.
point 3, The choice between wasteful consumerism or christianity as a pillar of your personal faith is false dichotomy.
In short, the whole post was nonsense..which is exactly what I said in the first place.
